Nice hover attempt! Here is what you can do to make this heli more stable, if you are using the stock esky radio then decrease hover trim to minimum so that head speed increases to a higher RPM before the blades reach positive pitch (for lift). Higher head speed translates to more lift (catering for your training skid). This should make hovering easier. :)

Nice hovering and if this is your first attempt, you did a good job. Seems like your heli is going to the right and you were constantly bringing it to the left so that is why it was difficult to keep it at one place. Adjust the sub-trims so it lifts straight up instead of going on any side. Good luck

Controlling the tail is the key and as long as you have it in control (the tail always facing you) there are less chances you will mess up things. So focus on the tail and if it starts drifiting, bring it back before it is too late. :-)

That's very nice. Get rid of that training gears as soon as you can. You will feel the different both in your heli performance and your own controls.

^^ Yup Salam is right about loosing the training gear. It will make a lot of difference. Just make your orientation right before taking them off or you might end with the tail rotor hitting the ground.

guys i got a q well i have a 35a ecs from skyartec which is fully programable i cheaked my pitch range it strats from -2 and goes till 7.5 at mid stick it is 0 and then starts to increase so i hover at around 60 to 70 per throotle is it normal?actully i m asking coz the esc programin i did brakes of super soft start etc that is all fine the thing i wana ask is the timing i setted it on medium coz the esc manual says general outrunner medium ans align 420lf outrunner high so is the medium fine or should have more power at high?well i cheaked the pitch at around 60 to 65 per throtle at which my heli hovers it has around 3.5 pitch is this rite to hover?if it is then the medium timming whould be rite?

Do not change the motor timing whatever you do! This can sometimes fry the motor! Othervwise you change the start up types that is super soft, soft startup etc. I am currently using soft startup on the Raptor. The pitch you have mentioned and the throttle also seems ok, however as I have said once you get confident loose the training gear ASAP.

The pitch and throttle settings will have to be changed once you remove the landing skids.
