That is what I am trying to say! Apparently the guy lowered the gear ratio and replaced the stock motor with a after market scorpion motor. The people who have tried this swear by it that he heli flies superb! I still can't imagine a 6S fitting into the battery compartment of the E325!

Its the kick of doing things differently and reach the limits.

I have seen a guy with a foamie Jet ($150 kit - Habu from Pakzone) where he put a $3000 Turbine and it flew awesome.

Habu is a big foamie jet and CF spar here and there makes it super tough to carry some weight.

Here is the video:

Wouldn't 6S put out different voltage than what it needs? Or maybe they are using a regulator

No No! They used the higher Voltages produced by the 6S, however the ESC and BEC are aftermarket stuff.

Higher Voltage = Higher /Insane Head Speed

Salam I am very impressed with the Habu. What is the cell count on the original craft and what is the price tag?

Also please share your experience with this EDF.

PS

Still can't figure out why the turbine did not melt the foam and how on Earth did that guy squeeze the turbine and fuel tank that EDF!

NSK, Habu is really a nice EDF jet for those who wants to step into Jets. It is big, fast enough to feel like a jet and slow enough and easy to fly around and land. It is not fragile like usual foam jets. Has a functional rudder and capable of pulling most sports aerobatic maneuver.

The Habu design wise is very similar to BVM Bandit and Electra and I have heard that Horizon Hobby/Parkzone worked with the BVM guys during the design of Habu.

Here are some specs:
Wingspan: 36.3 in (920 mm)
Overall Length: 43.3 in (1100 mm)
Flying Weight: 2.8 lb (1300 g)
Motor Size: E-flite BL15 DF 3200Kv six-pole brushless inrunner
Speed Control : E-flite 60A Switch-Mode BEC
Fan Unit: E-flite Delta-V 15 ducted fan unit
Servos: 3 digital metal-geared (nose steering, rudder, elevator), 2 standard (aileron)

The available options are:
PNP (Receiver Ready): $300
BNF (Bind and Fly, with rx and 4S battery): $400
Replacement Airframe (painted with hardware): $100

I bought a PNP and fly it with a 4S 3600 30C and sometime with a 5S pack. I fly it whenever I get a chance, still shiny, flies very well and lands fast but very easy. It handles grass very well after I put slightly bigger wheels. I have covered it with transparent (wide 3M tape) and heated the tape with a covering iron to make it super tough, reduced the drag and it also protects the color scheme. The weight of the covering is very minimal. I am thinking to cut in flaps, which will make it super easy to land in small places.

Z-Foam used in this and all other Parkzone planes is super tough, easy to repair and can handle heat as well. The Habu got some excellent reviews and people who owns one love it.
